Day-by-Day Itinerary

  Day 01 - The Ascent to Colonial Charm

  Departure from Chandigarh:- Pick up from your preferred location in Chandigarh (Airport, Railway Station, or Residence). Enjoy the scenic 2-hour drive (approx. 60 km) as you climb through the winding Himalayan foothills. Arrival & Local Exploration:- Arrive in Kasauli and check into your hotel/resort. After a brief rest, head out to visit: Christ Church: A stunning colonial-era landmark built in 1853, famous for its grey stone walls and vibrant stained-glass windows. Lunch at Heritage Market:- Explore the Upper & Lower Mall Roads. Enjoy a local lunch; don't miss trying the famous "Bun Samosa" at one of the old-time eateries. The Gilbert Trail:- Embark on a peaceful 1.5 km walk along the *Gilbert Trail*. This narrow path offers breathtaking views of the green valleys and is a paradise for birdwatchers. Sunset Point:- Reach *Sunset Point* to witness the sky turn shades of orange and pink over the plains of Punjab and Haryana in the distance.

  Day 02 - Peaks, Spirits & Return

  Breakfast with a View:- Enjoy a hearty breakfast overlooking the pine-covered hills. Manki Point (Monkey Point):- Visit the highest point in Kasauli, located within the Air Force Station. A short climb leads to a Hanuman Temple. From here, you can get a panoramic view of the Sutlej River and even the distant lights of Chandigarh on a clear day. (Note: Cameras and mobile phones are not allowed inside the Air Force area). Heritage Walk & Shopping:- Head back toward the town center. Visit the Kasauli Brewery (one of the oldest in Asia) to learn about its history, then spend some time shopping for local fruit wines, jams, and woolens at the Tibetan Market. Departure for Chandigarh:- Begin the downhill journey back. Stopover at Timber Trail (Optional):- Stop at Parwanoo for a cable car ride at *Timber Trail* to enjoy a majestic view of the Kaushalya River valley before completing the final leg of the drive. Drop-off at Chandigarh:- Arrive back in Chandigarh for your drop-off at the Railway Station, Airport, or your home
