Day-by-Day Itinerary

• D1

  Day 01 - The Spirit of the City Beautiful

  Morning: Arrival & Check-in:- Arrive at Chandigarh Airport or Railway Station. Transfer to your hotel and settle in. Afternoon: The Rock Garden of Chandigarh:- Visit the world-famous Rock Garden, created by Nek Chand. This 40-acre park is built entirely from industrial and home waste and discarded items. Explore the sculptures, waterfalls, and man-made amphitheatres. Evening: Sukhna Lake:- Head to Sukhna Lake for a relaxing evening. You can enjoy a boat ride, take a walk along the 2 km promenade, or simply sit by the water. The sunset views here are iconic to the Chandigarh experience.

  Day 02 - Architecture & Floral Splendor

  Morning: The Capitol Complex (UNESCO World Heritage Site):- Visit the *Capitol Complex* in Sector 1. This is Le Corbusier’s architectural masterpiece, featuring the Legislative Assembly, the Secretariat, and the High Court. Don't miss the Open Hand Monument, the official emblem of the city. (Note: Prior booking/permission is often required for a guided tour here). Afternoon: Rose Garden & Museum:- Visit the Zakir Hussain Rose Garden, Asia's largest rose garden, featuring over 1,600 species of roses. Later, visit the Government Museum and Art Gallery to see Gandhara sculptures and Pahari miniature paintings. Evening: Leisure at Sector 17 Plaza:- Explore the Sector 17 Plaza, the city’s primary commercial hub. It is a pedestrian-friendly zone perfect for shopping for local handicrafts, high-end brands, and enjoying the musical fountain show.

  Day 03 - Nature Reserves & Royal Gardens

  Morning: Fragrance Garden & Butterfly Park:- Visit the Garden of Fragrance in Sector 36, known for its aromatic plants like Jasmine and Damask Rose. Continue to the Butterfly Park to see a variety of colorful local species in a lush green environment. Afternoon: Pinjore Gardens (Yadavindra Gardens):- Drive approximately 20 km to Pinjore Gardens. These 17th-century Mughal-style gardens are built on seven terraces. The evening lighting makes the fountains and palaces look spectacular. Evening: Traditional Punjabi Dinner:- Head back to the city for a traditional dinner. Try local favorites like Sarson da Saag and Makki di Roti (seasonal) or classic butter chicken at a popular dhaba.

  Day 04 - Peace & Departure

  Morning: ISKCON Temple & Shanti Kunj:- Visit the ISKCON Temple for a peaceful start to the day. Take a final stroll through - Shanti Kunj, a noise-free garden filled with medicinal plants and vibrant flowers. Afternoon: Last Minute Shopping & Departure:- Visit Elante Mall (one of the largest in North India) for some modern shopping and lunch. Transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
