Day-by-Day Itinerary

  Day 01 - Into the Heart of Little Lhasa

  Departure from Chandigarh:- Pick up from your preferred location in Chandigarh (Airport, Railway Station, or Residence). Enjoy a scenic 5.5 to 6-hour drive (approx. 240 km) through the shifting landscapes of Punjab and the Himachal hills. Arrival & Traditional Welcome:- Arrive in McLeod Ganj (Upper Dharamshala) and check into your hotel. Take a moment to soak in the mountain air. Lunch in McLeod Ganj:- Head to the vibrant central square for lunch. Try authentic Tibetan specialties like steamed Momos, Thukpa, or a comforting bowl of Thenthuk. Tsuglagkhang Complex (Dalai Lama Temple):- Visit the spiritual center of the town. Explore the peaceful temple, walk the Kora (meditation path) lined with prayer wheels, and visit the Tibet Museum to learn about the region's rich history. St. John in the Wilderness:- A short drive through thick cedar forests leads to this neo-Gothic stone church built in 1852. Its tranquil setting and stained-glass windows offer a glimpse into the colonial past. Evening at Bhagsu Nag:- Visit the ancient Bhagsu Nag Temple and take a short walk to the *Bhagsu Waterfall*. Enjoy the evening at one of the famous "Hippie Cafes" nearby. Dinner & Overnight Stay:- Return to the hotel for dinner. Overnight stay in McLeod Ganj/Dharamshala.

  Day 02 - High Altitudes & Heritage

  Breakfast with Dhauladhar View:- Enjoy breakfast at the hotel while watching the morning sun hit the snow peaks. HPCA Stadium & War Memorial:- Drive down to Lower Dharamshala to visit the "Dharamshala Cricket Stadium, one of the most beautiful high-altitude grounds in the world. Afterward, pay respects at the "War Memorial" set in a pine grove. Naddi Village & Dal Lake:- Visit *Naddi Viewpoint* for the best panoramic view of the Dhauladhar Range. On the way back, stop by the sacred *Dal Lake*, surrounded by towering Deodar trees. Tibetan Market Shopping:- Spend an hour at the McLeod Ganj market. It’s the perfect place to pick up singing bowls, prayer flags, exquisite thangka paintings, and silver jewelry. Departure for Chandigarh:- Begin the return journey. Riverside Stopover*:- Stop for a tea break near the Baner River or a local wayside dhaba to enjoy the mountain scenery one last time. Drop-off at Chandigarh:- Arrive back in Chandigarh for your drop-off at the Railway Station, Airport, or your home.
